Bach Magnificat by candlelight

A beautiful candlelit feast of Bach is tonight's second concert in the 2017 Spring Series. We welcome Whitehall Choir conducted by Paul Spicer to perform Bach's magnificent Magnificat and the beautiful Cantata 'Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis". Accompaniment will be provided on period instruments by resident ensemble, the Brandenburg Baroque Soloists.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

Under its Musical Director, Paul Spicer, the Whitehall Choir, now in its 73rd season, aspires to the highest standards of performance in all of its concerts. Members share a strong commitment and, besides attending weekly rehearsals on Tuesday evenings for concerts during the academic year in central London, take part in recordings, choral workshops and occasional tours abroad, including to Vienna last Spring.
