Brahms Requiem

  • Holy Sepulchre London Holborn Viaduct London EC1A 2DQ United Kingdom (map)

This concert offers a rare opportunity to hear Brahms' own arrangement of his Requiem with piano accompaniment, revealing the work in a new light - more intimate and transparent, revealing a wider variety of choral timbre and texture. Celebrated singers Ilona Domnich and David Soar join Singers of London and pianists William Fairbairn and Benedict Kearns in the beautiful acoustic of the "musicians' church" Holy Sepulchre, for what promises to be a beautiful early evening concert.

Singers of London are a group of professional and amateur singers whose shared experiences include singing in Oxford and Cambridge choral foundations, Cathedral Choirs and the leading chamber choirs of the country. Their conductor Simon Toyne has previously directed many of the singers on Eton Choral Courses or as members of the Tiffin Boys' Choir.
