Fresh and vibrant, Vivaldi's setting of the Gloria always brings a smile. Join us today for a fresh look at the work - and as always Bob Porter will challenge participants to think about listening and blending!
This Come & Sing day is a recommended rehearsal for any Brandenburg Festival Chorus singers wanting to take part in the afternoon concert on Tuesday 25 April (in the event of over-subscription of any voice parts, priority will be given to those who attend the Come & Sing day).
Workshop begins at 2pm
Performance at 7pm
Conductor - Robert Porter
** SOPRANOS AND ALTOS PLEASE NOTE!
To maintain the balance of the choir on the day, we need to recruit more tenors and (especially) basses. Individual soprano and alto tickets are now sold out, but you can still purchase a combined ticket - S/T, S/B, A/T, A/B - as long as you bring a lower voice part with you.
So what are you waiting for - find yourself a singing chum and get your combined ticket now!!
You'll need to bring your own score - Ricordi/Mallipiero edition please (NOT Ricordi/Casella). Barenreiter and OUP are compatible.
A formal concert performance of this piece will be presented on Tuesday 25 April at 2pm, Temple Church, in association with the U3A.
