ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

Wimbledon Choral Society is widely regarded as one of the finest amateur choirs in the south east, performing in major venues in and around London with orchestras including Brandenburg Sinfonia, London Mozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. WCS has performed on BBC TV’s Songs of Praise, sung from the pitch at Wembley Stadium as part of the Rugby Football League pre-match entertainment and regularly appears at the Royal Albert Hall, including for the Royal British Legion’s annual Festival of Remembrance. The choir celebrated its centenary last season, the highlight of which was performing Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem to a 2000-strong audience in the Royal Festival Hall.
