ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

TCS is a friendly, thriving choir of over 100 voices, with a broad repertoire of sacred and secular works from the Renaissance to the present day. Under the baton of its dynamic conductor, Christopher Herrick, TCS is privileged to work with top-class vocal soloists and orchestras, including the Brandenburg Sinfonia and Brandenburg Baroque Soloists. Concerts are staged at least three times a year, usually in local West London venues, but also further afield at venues including Lichfield, Ely and Guildford cathedrals. TCS hosts an annual choral workshop and takes a biennial tour to a European city. The culmination of the 2015-16 season was a performance of Elgar’s 'The Dream of Gerontius' at St John’s Smith Square, London, in July, and the choir looks forward to celebrating its centenary in 2021 for which it will commission works from exciting contemporary composers.
