ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

Citi UK’s Choir was formed by Gareth Malone for his 2013 BBC TV series The Choir: Sing While You Work. Since then it has gone from strength and now sings regularly at charity fundraisers in venues including St James’s Palace in London and Cipriani’s in New York, and recently won Music in Offices 2016 Choir of the Year competition. Runner-up in that competition, The Telegraph Choir, was founded in 2012 to give employees of the newspaper a break from the busy media environment and enjoy singing together. They perform at the Telegraph’s annual carol service at St Bride’s in Fleet Street and recently sang in the courtyard of the Royal Academy as part of the Summer Exhibition. These two office choirs will be joined by Woolwich Singers, a community choir bringing together people from all walks of life to sing in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Founded in 2012, highlights of the choir’s past seasons have included singing for the Woolwich Christmas Lights switch-on ceremony, and as part of a massed choir at the 2015 England vs New Zealand Rugby League International.
