An Evening of Choral and Operatic Classics, to join in and sing with members of the Royal Opera House Chorus!
Bring your scores and voice to join in with the massed choirs of SingingWorks, to raise the roof with Handel’s Zadok the Priest, gently lowering it again with Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus and Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine then building up to the Hallelujah Chorus via Vivaldi’s Gloria… Stopping on the way to draw breath to be taught the chorus sections of Habanera from Carmen and Nessun Dorma.
In the second half four fabulous singers from the Royal Opera House will sing songs from La Boheme, Rigoletto, Cosi Fan Tutti and Lakmé and invite us all to join them for the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, Habanera and, ending on a high note (top b!), Nessun Dorma.
