Howells and the Tudors

The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes back fabulous chamber choir Khoros for this programme featuring the music of Herbert Howells and the Renaissance composers who inspired him. His rarely-hear Missa Sine Nomine will be interspersed with motets and anthems by Byrd, Gibbons, Tallis and Taverner, and the programme will also include his Take him, earth, for cherishing, written for the funeral of John F. Kennedy. Patrick Allies conducts this a cappella concert in the fantastic acoustic of St Katharine Cree.
