ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

The Brandenburg Singers is a handpicked choir made up of some of London's finest amateur and semi-professional voices. They come together for several events throughout each Series of the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London, singing repertoire from Bach to Britten and Handel to Howard Goodall. They perform both a cappella, with keyboard accompaniment and with their partner ensembles Brandenburg Sinfonia and Brandenburg Baroque Soloists.

Artistic Director Robert Porter founded the Brandenburg Sinfonia in 1980 and it quickly became one of the country's busiest freelance orchestras, playing for choral societies, opera productions, world-renowned soloists and festivals all over London, the South-East and further afield. In 2009 he started the Brandenburg Choral Festival with the intention of bringing the finest amateur and professional choirs to some of London's most beautiful churches. The festival now attracts choirs from all over the world and promotes nearly 100 concerts each year. Bob regularly conducts concerts, leads come-and-sing workshops and recently returned from the first Brandenburg Choral Cruise!
